“Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” -MAYA ANGELOU
A handwritten note is a work of art to be visually enjoyed by the recipient. Writing shows the mark of your own hand and your choices of real materials, and mailing shows that the message comes from a real person in a real place. Choosing to write by hand is a magnificent choice that means you care about connecting with other people. As the artist, you decide what is important to create your masterpiece. Thus, the handwritten note becomes an extension of who you are. When a note arrives, it speaks to the reader in these three important ways:
- MATERIALS writing surface, writing utensil, envelope, stamp
- HANDWRITING as neat and legible as you can make it
- WORDING carefully chosen to say what you mean
